Salers
Salers, the second rustical breeder from France, is the youngest breed known in the Czech Republic. The first heifers were imported in 1995 for two farmers. In 1999 the third one imported heifers from Germany. Some other breeders using Salers in crossing systems. In the mountain areas of Šumava´ forest, where are situated most of the farms, Salers show very good adaptability to difficult climate conditions. Even all Salers cattle is breed in extensive conditions, animals are high with good growth ability. It is also on of the reasons why Salers is getting still more popular.
